For readers not so familiar with the area, Galiano is situated
in the Gulf Islands between Vancouver Island and the mainland of British
Columbia, Canada. This is a lush area, of spectacular forests, rocks
and wildlife. But because of the sheltering effect of Vancouver Island,
we receive only about 25 inches of rain per year — a very pleasant
medium.

Galiano
is 17 miles long and is three miles wide at its widest point
(the south end of the island). Galiano Woodruff Bed and Breakfast
is located at the southerly end of the island, two kilometers
from the ferry terminal.

Midden beaches, intriguing rock formations, spectacular vistas from bluffs, animal and bird life viewing all await the naturalist.

For the sport enthusiast, a
nine hole golf course awaits you, for the cyclist there are
many backroads and trails awaiting discovery and for the ocean
bound canoeist and kayaker there are intriguing rock formations
to discover along the coastline.
